Final Paper Prototype

So this week and next, we are creating our final paper prototype. We met with Melissa earlier in the week to ask for advice on all of the documents we have submitted so far. We learned a great deal from the meeting about all of the documents we have produced this semester. We also learned that our sitemap had too many layers and needs to be refined to a less chaotic structure. We plan on revising the sitemap as well as collaborating on our individual documents to produce a final, robust product.

Wireframes

We are finally starting to get involved with the actual design of the site. This week we learned about wireframes and their importance in laying things out the way we want them. Like a lot of other things, it all comes back to logical organization of the information we have. We have split up the site into some of the important pages. I'm doing the home page, Mike is doing the searchable housing page, Andrew is doing the Current Events and Jessie is doing the Donate page.

Site map and Wireframe

Hey everyone. I think I finally got a hold of this blog thing after 8 or so weeks. You have to post, then comment on the post, So everyone make sure you comment! Hopefully doing that will make a big difference. We have the site map and wireframe coming up, so we should meet soon (it's due next tuesday, so we have to do it before then). I looked over the assignment guidelines and it shouldn't be a big problem, I think we could knock it out in a couple hours. We just need to develop our content!

hey guys

hey, it's Mike. Just giving you an update about the project. We did the card-sorting activities on Thurs-Tuesday. What we have so far is actually very good, we just need more content! We need to start thinking more about not only what the headings and subheadings will be, but also what actual content will be on those pages (pictures, blogs, summaries, information). Other than that, it's coming along great. We got caught up on the content inventory and client & audience analysis, so that's good, and I think we're back on track. I actually missed class today, so if anyone gets a chance could you fill me in on what happened? thanks.

updates on group things

Hey everybody, We have a lot to do. Given our changed project status, we are a bit behind, but we can catch up quick. We met with Sharon from BBHC last week, and got some info we could use for our client and audience analysis. The Client & Audience analysis is going to be due tonight, as well as the content inventory check. We know what inventory will be contained on the site, we just need to combine our ideas to get a good list together. Coming up Thursday we have the card-sorting exercises, so be prepared!
