Project Plan

Today Tyler and I got together to do our part of the project plan. Things are coming together, and I'm already getting ideas of what the page is going to start looking like. With our first meeting coming up, I'd like everyone to post questions you think we should ask Sharon. I have dealt with this web design situation before, and we don't want to slowly trickle questions into our client, they usually don't have time to field on the fly.

My questions would be:
.Are there any pictures that bbcat, or Sustainable tallahassee can provide to make the information more appealing after it has been integrated to the site.

.Is there anything paticular on SustainableTallahassee.org that shouldn't be changed.

  1. -Should we consider a change in domain name? SustainableTallahassee.org is long and has a lot of repeating letters that could easily be mistyped.

    - What portions of the site do people use frequently? We need to make these things accessible in as few clicks as possible.

  2. I don't know if these are good questions
maybe some of them that you guys can tell me.

    - since we're going to reformat the website, is there any particular style we shouldn't change?

    - what is sharing tree ? (do you guys know?)
    - is there any member area (login) we should add? or is there anything we should add on the website
    - if it has a "member login", what is the database to link?

  3. The first question is good Jessie. There already is a member login area, but I'm not sure what the deal is with an external database, so we could ask something about that. I'm not sure what sharing tree is so maybe we could have Sharon explain it at the meeting.

  4. -I agree with Tyler that a change in the domain name could have a positive impact.

-i also think the "About Us" page could be a lot more intriguing and interactive than just a 10 paragraph history of the organization. The paragraphs aren't indented or anything, there isn't a good format for the page. I personally went to that link first when i wanted to see what the organization is about, and i didn't even read through the first paragraph before i became uninterested.

  5. Remember that the Team Blog is not meant to be purely an internal document and collaboration tool. Rather it is meant to be a way for you to document your progress on the team project and to communicate this to other designers who may take on this project. Again, please read the guidelines for the team blogs very carefully.
