Final Paper Prototype

So this week and next, we are creating our final paper prototype. We met with Melissa earlier in the week to ask for advice on all of the documents we have submitted so far. We learned a great deal from the meeting about all of the documents we have produced this semester. We also learned that our sitemap had too many layers and needs to be refined to a less chaotic structure. We plan on revising the sitemap as well as collaborating on our individual documents to produce a final, robust product.

  1. I also got advice from Melissa on what to change on my sitemap as well as a few other tips on what to change in my other documents. My wireframe was a little too in-depth and did not contain sufficient annotations. The suggestions that she gave me were amazing and i will incorporate them into our final product as well as my individual wireframe resubmission.

  2. We met with Melissa and she gave us a multitude of advice including the wording on our sidebar navigation. Instead of using "Face of homelessness" she suggested we use "Who are the homeless?". She also agreed with a few of the suggestions Dr. Lustria gave us such as adding different aspects to the homepage and reorganizing the order of the objects in our sidebar navigation to be more intuitive. She suggested making fewer levels off our our main navigation in order to keep from confusing our users. This lead to us compressing our navigation to make it a lot easier to navigate for all user groups. We also plan on meeting with Melissa once again after making some changes to the overall design of the site to see if she has some final input.

  3. It seems everything is on good progress. I resubmitted my wireframe assignment after got it back with professor comment on it. Clearly understanding about the wireframe and what the website is going to organize the information, and that really helps a lot on doing the project.
